Launch Information

A focused tool.
Clear boundaries.

The practical conditions, capabilities, and boundaries of using FramePulse at launch.

Free launch access & registration

FramePulse launches as a free monitoring utility for Windows 10/11 x64 and DaVinci Resolve Studio. Downloading the setup requires completing registration with a valid name and email address to receive the official download link via transactional email. Optional marketing communications require separate explicit consent and are never a condition of download.

The setup package requires administrator approval to install into Resolve's Workflow Integration Plugins directory, but needs no separate Node.js installation. The setup executable is currently unsigned; Windows SmartScreen will display an unknown publisher notification. Install only if you trust the official download source; a checksum does not verify the publisher.

Free launch access does not constitute a guarantee of unlimited service capacity, permanent free access, or continuous uninterrupted server availability. Cloud quotas and edge concurrency limits apply.

Read-only monitoring

FramePulse is strictly a read-only monitoring tool. It does not start, pause, resume, or cancel DaVinci Resolve renders, and it never uploads finished video files or project media. Use DaVinci Resolve Studio's native interface to control renders and verify final output files.

The viewer runs in standard mobile and desktop web browsers. Browser-based viewing does not imply the existence of a native iOS or Android mobile application.

Progress and timing limits

Live progress includes telemetry estimates calculated between DaVinci Resolve API polling intervals. These estimates provide smooth visual continuity but may differ slightly from internal host progress. A 100% reading requires explicit confirmation from DaVinci Resolve Studio.

DaVinci Resolve's native current-job ETA takes priority whenever available. When unavailable, a fallback estimated ETA is clearly marked. Output FPS represents the video frame rate of the rendered file, not the workstation's real-time rendering speed. When disconnected or offline, the viewer freezes the last known progress rather than predicting synthetic motion.

Responsible link sharing

Generate and share monitor links only when you are authorized to disclose normalized project names, timeline names, and technical render settings. Anyone who possesses a monitor URL can view its status. FramePulse does not verify or authenticate individual recipients.

Private host IDs, local drive paths, writer credentials, and media files are never exposed through public viewer links. See Privacy Information for detailed data boundaries.

Availability and link expiry

Monitor links remain active for seven days from creation. Keep FramePulse open on your workstation for continuous updates. Closing the plugin window clears desktop sessions and disconnects updates; reopening starts empty.

Stopping tracking or removing a link disconnects live monitoring without cancelling the active render or immediately revoking the viewer link. Old viewers retain their last offline snapshot until seven-day expiry.

Independent software

FramePulse is developed by Dream Road Labs, the software and tools brand of Dream Road Pictures. It is not developed, sponsored, or endorsed by Blackmagic Design. DaVinci Resolve and its Workflow Integration SDK remain property of Blackmagic Design.

Safe installation and updates

Follow the installation instructions carefully. Always close FramePulse before running an update installer, and never restart DaVinci Resolve while an active render is in progress.
